Case study
Laura Fassett
A Coldwell Banker agent with a generic brokerage page, turned into a site that sounds like her and wins clients on its own.
- Client: Laura Fassett, Coldwell Banker Realty, Portland
- Industry: Real estate
- Services: Real Estate Website on the Coldwell Banker platform, custom domain, brand messaging

The challenge
Same template as every agent in the office.
Coldwell Banker gives every agent the same generic website and a long, forgettable web address. Laura has helped Maine buyers and sellers since 2012 with a very Maine way of working: honest, kind and genuinely helpful. None of that came through online.
Our approach
Let buyers meet the person, not the profile.

Chapter one
The story
Laura is a former teacher who explains things clearly, a singer in a local chorus, and a boater out of Boothbay Harbor. We let that warmth show, so buyers feel like they know her before the first call.

Chapter two
Her own address
A custom domain, laurafassett.com, instead of a long brokerage link. Easy to say, easy to remember, easy to share.

Chapter three
Easy to navigate
Search right where buyers expect it, clear paths for buyers, sellers and investors, and an About page that reads like a conversation.
The outcome
A buyer she had never met chose her from a page of agents.
He had always worked with Coldwell Banker agents, so he looked through agent profiles on their site. Every agent website he clicked was either unavailable or hard to navigate. Laura’s was the one he contacted.
A buyer I had never met emailed me to write an offer. He had looked through agent profiles, and every website he clicked was either unavailable or hard to navigate. Then he found mine. He told me, ‘I learned about you, and it was easy to navigate. This is the one.’
